Full Time Job
The Producer/Editor creates original content for National Geographic's daily Snapchat Discover editions. This includes, but is not limited to, developing, producing, and editing multimedia stories integrating photos, videos, and articles across NGP divisions. The Producer/Editor works closely with a designer on branding, style, and tone. This role supports the Edition Editor to ensure all TopSnaps and Long-Form content creates a cohesive storytelling experience with purposeful transitions and narrative arcs.
Responsibilities
• Curates multimedia stories integrating video, photos, and text to create seamless user experiences across Discover.
• Work with editorial teams to deliver multimedia storytelling experiences that are elegant, efficient and visually powerful.
• Takes direction from the Managing Editor and Senior Designer to streamline workflow to help create toolkits and design elements for team
• Works with editorial team to serialize and brand products for Discover to produce products that help repeat viewership and brand loyalty.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, UX or HCI; at least 5 years of design experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional reasoning skills and basic budgeting.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, After Effects.
• Exceptional typography and visual design skills Prototyping, A/B testing, strong writer and photo editor, basic video editing.
