Full Time Unpaid Internship
This Washington D.C. internship will require occasional late nights/odd hours and travel (transportation/lodging/travel expenses will be supplied).
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in production of videos for NPR Music, from researching locations, transporting gear, running cables and operating cameras for live concert video shoots, working closely with lead video producer to shoot Field Recordings, Tiny Desk Concerts, Jazz Night In America, and other projects.
• Post-production of video, including pulling clips, topping & tailing, editing, encoding, and publishing to web.
• Managing archive, keeping an organized system of backing up media.
• Researching production solutions as we modify our workflow and grow our video capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency shooting video with DSLRs and/or C100s (Cameras and gear will be supplied)
• Expertise with Final Cut X and/or Adobe Premiere (Computer and software will be supplied)
• Aptitude in storytelling through editing
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, technologically savvy
• Ability to follow directions precisely and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to climb stairs and lift 60 lbs.
• Being generally awesome and able to work well with awesome people
