Responsibilities The Position:
The exciting position of Sr. Manager, Human Resources will play an important role in the organization dedicated to the Feature Animation support groups such as Technology and Business and Legal Affairs and other groups through: staffing, coaching, mentoring, providing compensation guidance, implementation of HR programs, conflict management, and other hands-on activities. You will provide HR support and partner with broader HR team to proactively address organizational issues and make recommendations to attract, motivate, engage, develop and retain employees. The Sr. Manager, Human Resources reports directly into the VP, Human Resources of DreamWorks Feature Animation based on the DreamWorks campus in Glendale, CA.

Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Establish and maintain strong, positive, consultative relationships by partnering closely with business leaders and employees at all levels
• Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as approachable and fair, balancing business needs with employee needs, and spending significant time interfacing directly with employees
• Be a values and culture champion
• Understanding, auditing and updating compensation recommendations and being able to
• Be knowledgeable and proactive of our business and industry to advise in the areas of animation, technology and other external enhancements and potential impact to our employees
• Provide coaching to employees regarding employee relations issues
• Work with business leaders and broader HR team to establish career development strategy and implement programs that fit the organization's dynamic landscape and talent retention needs
• Mentor and provide direction to HR coordinator(s) supporting the broader team
• Partner with Internal Communications and Engagement to design and facilitate effective experiences for the employees
• Be a team player in the HR organization to process transactional work, administrative duties and all compliance initiatives as needed Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Minimum of 7 years professional experience in generalist HR or other relevant roles, with an emphasis on employee and/or labor relations and investigations

• Graduate degree in Human Resources, MBA or related field and/or PHR/SPHR certified preferred

• Subject matter expertise on California and Federal employment practices, policies, legal & EEOC guidelines, as well as compensation, wage and hour, and CA benefits administration
• Strategic thinker – proven ability to put in place proactive multi-faceted HR strategies for a global, dynamic business
• Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

• Strong business acumen, exceptional communication and presentation skills. Analytical skills combined with a clear and direct communication style
• Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP HRIS preferred
• Ability to work well with others and collaborate across multiple arenas to achieve goals
• Flexible, self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to interface with the entertainment community
• Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an executable HR plan
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results

• Prior media/television/content industry experience preferred
