Full Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Brand Marketing internship positions within various business divisions, including NBCUniversal International Networks and NBCUniversal International Studios, to start in July 2018.
As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team to deliver innovative Marketing and Brand Management strategies whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Marketing or Brand Management.
You will ideally be currently studying a degree-level or equivalent course, specialising in Marketing, Brand Management, or Media-related subjects, seeking a 12 month internship. Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division/team, however the main responsibilities of any Brand Marketing Intern will likely include:
• Assisting with planning & implementing campaign activities & events
• Helping to prepare presentations for events & pitches
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects, conducting research & writing/proofreading copy
• Providing admin support to the team & additional support to the necessary Directors/VPs as required
• Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in release dates/schedules; coordinating campaign elements between multiple departments/regional marketing teams in a timely manner
• Assisting in implementation of social messaging & content for social pages (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
• Provide support in managing the product design & approval process for licensing & merchandising deals
• Sourcing/management of creative assets
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• Passion for Broadcasting/Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop a career in Marketing or Brand Management
• Proactive & enthusiastic; willingness to learn; ''can-do'' attitude
• Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills; ability to effectively prioritise/manage workload
• Self-starter& fast learner; ability to work collaboratively within a busy team; work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative & keep calm under pressure
• Strong office admin & IT skills; confident user of MS Office (in particular PowerPoint)
• High level of creativity, incl. design skills; basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite may be beneficial
• Understanding of/active interest in Digital Media, Social Media & online marketing
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly & responsibly
• Excellent communicator (written/verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Awareness of events & current affairs in programming
Desirable
• Knowledge of the international film/television industry
• Previous work experience in a similar environment
• Understanding of CMS
Requirements
• Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
