Full Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Acquisitions & Content Strategy internship positions within various business divisions, including Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE).
As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Acquisitions or Content Strategy. Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division and team, however the main responsibilities of any Acquisitions & Content Strategy Intern will likely include:
• Interpreting performance trends and providing market context to the relevant departments
• Communicating market analysis in a relevant format to feed into the wider business strategy and enable business decisions
• Supporting Acquisitions teams with insights to identify relevant opportunities
• Liaising with internal/external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects, which may include conducting research and writing/proofreading copy
• Collating various reports and updates for distribution as appropriate
• Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in schedules
• Creating comparables, making info packs and helping to analyse sales data
• Preparing scheduling and logistics for major film/TV markets as relevant
• Updating and maintaining various trackers/databases
• Seeking out contemporary film/TV business intel
• Providing admin support to the team and additional support to the necessary Directors/VPs as required
Education
and Qualifications
You will be currently studying a degree-level or equivalent course in a Business or Media-related subject, seeking a 12 month internship in Acquisitions or Content Strategy.
Essential
• A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop a career in Acquisitions or Content Strategy
• Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
• Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
• Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
• Strong office administration and IT skills; confident user of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
• Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Willingness to learn and ''can-do'' attitude
Desirable
• Previous work experience in a similar environment
Requirements
• Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
