Responsibilities The HR Coordinator will perform a broad range of client support activities for several departments within WNJU-Telemundo 47, including employee interaction, Human Resources administration, and project work. This position will provide HR administrative and transactional support for approximately 150 employees.
Responsibilities:
• Onboard staff and temporary employees in applicable HR systems
• Process data changes, promotions, timekeeper actions, and termination paperwork
• Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, STORM, Timekeeper, etc.
• Act as the point person for the team for all benefits, payroll, and disability issues
• Prepare job descriptions for open positions, and post open jobs via nbcunicareers.com
• Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts
• Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
• Timely and respectfully handling of employee inquiries
• Participate in, and support key HR initiatives, including performance management, succession planning & compensation planning
• Responsible for interview and meeting coordination, general correspondence, presentation preparation and other administrative responsibilities as needed
• Plan and execute employees' engagement activities
• Work on special assignments and projects, as assigned Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 1-year administrative experience, preferably supporting HR generalist functions
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Must be willing to work in Fort Lee, NJ and New York City
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older Desired Characteristics • Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
• Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities
• Ability to resolve employee issues
• Ability and willingness to take on the administrative duties, heavy workflow processing
• Must be a team player
• Customer and/or employee oriented individual, with strong oral and written communication, time management, organizational and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to manage extremely confidential information
• Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Experience with SAP a plus
• Prior media/television industry experience preferred
