Position Summary:The Director of Ticketing Services works closely with the Senior Director of Ticketing on all aspects of ticketing, including arena/premium ticket inventory management, customer services management and box office operations.
Position Responsibilities:
• Oversees the Box Office and Ticketing Finance Coordinator.
• Develop customer service and operations training plan for all ticketing staff.
• Support the daily financial reporting and reconciliation of events as required.
• Analyze sales trends on all events throughout the onsale period and make recommendations on pricing/production.
• Assist Senior Director with the creation, development and evaluation of seating manifests for the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center.
• Build music, family and ancillary events on the Ticketmaster host and Archtics ticketing systems. Oversee inventory management from the onsale through event settlement and financial reconciliation.
• Using Archtics, assist the Senior Director with the setup and management of Suite and Premium ticket events.
• Establish excellent working relations with concert promoters, other internal departments, Bucks and Marquette Basketball.
• Create operator guidelines for the access control system, and along with venue operations, help oversee the access control training for all venue staff for all events at the arena and parking facility.
• Ensure proper audit controls, close-out and reconciliation systems are in place.
• Assist Senior Director with the handling of all internal ticket allotments and allocations as required, including the setup and testing of Formstack.
• Maintain open dialogue between all box office, Bucks and Marquette ticketing staff to ensure the box office is well staffed and equipped to handle the needs of all events.
• Assist Senior Director in the creation and management of the annual department budget.
• Develop annual ticket operations & service plan for review and approval by Senior Director.
• Act as senior management available for customer service inquiries and escalated customer issues.
• Help plan and execute weekly ticket operations & service staff meetings.
• Manage the interview and selection process for ticketing services positions.
Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or relevant equivalent experience.
• Advanced level user knowledge of the Ticketmaster and Archtics ticketing systems, policies and procedures, including event management and bar-coding systems.
• Capability to create seating and customer reports integrating excel, Ticketmaster host and Archtics reporting.
• Significant successful ticket operations management experience.
• Excellent skill in developing and managing department budgets.
• Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.
• Proven effective management of multiple related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate multi-faceted plans and issues.
• Demonstrated sound organizational and personal interface skills.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A minimum five (5) years computerized ticket operations experience with at least three (3) years in management.
Position Evaluation:
• Achieve outstanding customer service levels across all areas of the new arena box office
• Manage ticketing inventory on events at the arena from onsale planning through event date, also successfully completing event settlement and financial reconciliation
• Build and cultivate excellent relations with all visiting event management and promoters
• Author and maintain user guidelines for the venue access control system
• Ensure that the ticketing manifests for all shows match up with the installed seats, also noting any potential production issues, developing seat relocation plans where needed for all upcoming events
