Metro Public Relations is an entertainment PR & creative marketing agency. We represent top studios, production companies, traditional/digital talent, and platforms. We offer a team-oriented, creative environment and expect all employees to maintain our positive office culture.
This position will have a strong focus on talent, top digital influencers, events, and content.
Our ideal candidate is established within the PR side of the entertainment business. They are currently handling clients from head-to-toe, in addition to likely supporting talent led by supervisors. This candidate works hard and is hungry to find a home at a company with limited politics, no red tape and that is dedicated to rewarding hard work, creativity and self-starters in a meaningful way. We are looking for someone who can come up with a new, creative idea for a client and see it through to the end.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of entertainment PR experience
- Thorough knowledge of digital entertainment (top talent, digital platforms, industry trends, etc)
- Viable press contacts are a must - both B2B and B2C
- Cultivated relationships within the entertainment industry (reps, studios, etc)
- Excellent writing skills - must be concise, thoughtful, effective and strive to use proper grammar
- Ability to properly and effectively manage support staff
- Positive attitude and team-player mentality
- Flexibility to travel as needed, with occasional last-minute travel
Client Service:
- Drive day-to-day communication with clients on behalf of the national publicity efforts and ensures that all reporting is accurate and delivered to the client as agreed upon by the campaign
- Analyze client goals strategically, creatively and present findings
- Demonstrate superior writing and editing skills for client materials and plans
- Aggressive pitching
- Self-starter mentality - taking initiative to connect dots and open doors for the client without being prompted
- Regular calls with client and teams
- Anticipate PR challenges and proactively provide recommended plan of action to move publicity campaigns forward
Publicity specific roles:
- Lead the development of publicity campaigns and account strategies for top tier digital talent
- Oversee outreach and results-driven execution for entertainment and product campaigns
- Oversee the development and management of press lists
- Familiarity with promoting talent around their movies, series, books, merchandise launches (lifestyle), podcasts and deals/partnerships
