Metro Public Relations is an entertainment PR & creative marketing agency based in Los Angeles. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Talent Publicity Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the talent team. This position will have a strong focus on talent, top digital influencers and events. We offer a team-oriented, creative environment and expect all employees to maintain our positive office culture.
The candidate would be responsible for coordinating client appearances (press interviews/junkets, red carpets, premieres, etc). This includes experience in drafting itineraries, memos, booking glam/stylists, handling travel and logistics, thorough re-confirmation of appearance details, keeping all representatives on the team updated in real time and most importantly, overseeing the calendar for internal executives and clients. This person must possess elevated communication skills, including the ability to compose a professional email and speak with clients and representatives in an effective and educated manner.
The ideal candidate has a passion for digital entertainment and is knowledgeable with respect to the industry (understanding social media platforms and the talent that emerge from them is key). This individual is a strong, creative and determined communicator and can leverage previous experience to support the strategic objectives of this company. This person must also be a proactive self-starter who has a passion for not only talent PR but the clients themselves. We are looking to invest in someone that is seeking long term growth within our company and is eager to work hard and move up quickly. We are very rewards-driven at Metro PR and there is no cap to growth at the company if you work hard and earn it.
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Work with supervisors to curate and maintain client press lists
Create extensive itineraries and memos for clients with detailed information about press opps, glam, etc.
Manage media coverage tracking and produce weekly press reports for distribution among internal and external teams
Maintain digital press kits and comprehensive client reports
Heavy research and targeted list building
Provide on-site media relations support at client events including film premieres, junkets, shoots, and major conferences
Requirements:
1 years of public relations experience at an agency, network or studio
Proficient in using PR/entertainment software, databases and cloud services such as Cision, IMDBPro, SimilarWeb/Quantcast, Dropbox, Google Docs, etc.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite programs. Photoshop experience a plus
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
Experience performing media outreach to a variety of consumer and industry press a plus
Great attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of and interest in the digital entertainment industry
Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude is a must
Bachelor's degree in public relations or related field preferred
