Job Description
We're looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join Magic Leap As our company grows, we are looking to increase our capacity to share information between teams and across global sites. You'll help gather information from teams across the company to produce stories and support our speaker series. You'll also help managers across the company frame and communicate important announcements out to the broader team about policy changes, operational updates, and business developments.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Communications team to identify internal activities and events to highlight through internal communications channels
Coordinate with department leaders to help craft and roll out internal announcements
Work with individual departments to provide input and insight into the look, feel, format, and content of their sections of the Company's intranet.
Conduct interviews to profile team members, produce Q&As with company leaders, and craft packages about teams producing interesting work across the company.
Design and layout announcements and accompanying images/photos for immediate placement on our intranet
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in journalism, communications, or public relations
A strong writer with a solid knowledge of tech and consumer media
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Substantial video recording and editing experience, preferably in a news environment
A proven ability to research, contextualize, and prioritize information while working alone and across teams
An enthusiastic person who is creative, resourceful, and has a high level of professional integrity and confidentiality
Knowledge and experience with online systems, page design and layout, and creative design
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field of study
