The Financial Analyst is an integral part of the Finance team and will be involved in finance and accounting functions within the Dodger organization. This person will support the organization by performing financial planning and analysis, and assist with developing accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reports for facilitating management decisions and fulfilling business partner requirements.
Job Functions:
• Lead compilation and reporting for ticketing cash receipts
• Gather and analyze data for various routine and ad-hoc management reports (such as expense trending, budgets, forecasts and cash flow management)
• Prepare reports for internal and external reporting requirements (Major League Baseball, banking and government)
• Work with department heads to develop and assist with monthly analysis and research of actuals v. budget/forecast for financial performance improvement and management reporting packages
• Prepare quantitative analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Work closely with management team and external partners
• Utilize various computer information systems and synthesize large data sets in the preparation of analyses, evaluation and reports relating to assigned projects
• Assist with cash management/treasury function for the organization
• Perform related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• Minimum three years' work experience in finance or accounting
• Possess financial modeling skills for ad-hoc analysis
• Knowledge of budgetary, management and accounting principles and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Work experience with software systems including Great Plains and BI 360 preferred
• Work experience with a Big 4 firm or auditing experience preferred
• Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
