The Angels Baseball Corporate Sales and Busines Development team is looking to continue their expansion and is currently in search of an experienced Sr. Corporate Sales Account Executive.
Overview:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Development, the Sr. Corporate Sales Account Executive is responsible for selling sponsorship assets, marketing programs, hospitality and tickets. Must be exceptional at creating and maintaining client relationships for Angels Baseball.
Job Duties:
• Identify prospects and take assigned leads from Senior Director, Business Development.
• Actively prospects new sponsorship opportunities by any combination of phone calls, e-mails, networking events, in-person meetings, stadium visits, etc. Expected to perform outside sales functions a minimum of 50% of the time.
• Prepare initial presentations based on client needs and objectives.
• Prepare proposals that match client objectives and agreed upon budgets and assets.
• Negotiate sales to conclusion of sponsorship agreement.
• Responsible for selling Angels controlled advertising elements. Elements include but are not limited to: radio, signage, print, promotions, tickets, suites, hospitality and local promotional rights.
• Sell to performance standard (quota).
• Collections on all sales.
• Communicate and work with Sponsorship Services team to deliver on all aspects of the sponsorship agreement.
• Overall client satisfaction and continued renewal of relationship with team.
• Overall communication of clients’ needs and details of clients’ business and expectations to team personnel.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Sales or equivalent.
• 15 years professional sales experience required; prior corporate sales experience with a professional, college or minor league team preferred.
• Radio advertising sales and promotions preferred.
• Experience with Los Angeles DMA.
• Self-driven, motivated and results oriented.
• Proven record of consistently exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and unusual hours.
