Responsibilities:
Under Laffitte Management Group and their clients the Social Media Manager will develop, manage and edit content for social media sites to expand organization's presence and drive traffic to organization's site(s). Generates content ideas. Assigns topics and may write content. Edits copy to meet established tone and theme requirements. Monitors social media sites to identify emerging trends and collaborates with internal teams to integrate trends into content produced by organization. Evaluates and adjusts strategies for social media postings to meet changing social media technologies.
Participates in the implementation and monitoring of the organization's social media presence. Participates in the execution, monitoring and adjusting of social media plans and campaigns for the organization. Tracks social media performance and online engagement metrics against benchmarks. Coordinates the development and placement of social media content. May write and/or review content.
Monitors assigned segments of user generated content on the organization's website(s). Reviews images, videos, other media content and postings to ensure consistent compliance with terms of use. Removes rule-breaking content. Follows established notification procedures and escalates concerns. Consistently enforces content review standards and policies. Represents the site to the users. Participates in monitoring community chat and responds to routine and non-routine questions, comments and postings. Escalates difficult issues to senior team members. Provides information. Encourages, assesses and forwards user feedback. Identifies user needs and interests and forwards to content providers.
Demonstrates proficiency in several areas of the professional function. Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur.
Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities. Receives work in the form of short-term assignments that often require the application of independent judgment. Work is subject to regular supervisory review at regular intervals. Operates within the context of defined procedures.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of social media experience
• Bachelor's Degree required
