LightWorkers Media OTT, LLC, a joint venture of MGM and award-winning Executive Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, is seeking a dynamic Associate Producer / Shooter / Editor (''Preditor'') for the Company's new online venture launching in fall, 2017. LightWorkers' mission is to create engaging short form video and audio programming plus readable content that will make you think, smile, shed a tear and hopefully, brighten your day. We produce and curate highly shareable, authentic content for digitally savvy millennials, moms and a community of passionate fans who want to celebrate the good.
The ideal candidate is an innovator who will create shareable, mobile-first content for our sites and social platforms. You will implement video content across a growing suite of products, devices and platforms. This is a critical role that will directly impact the launch success of LightWorkers Media hub across editorial product and user engagement.
Core Responsibilities:
• Produce, shoot, and edit original digital video in all formats
• Work with senior producer to continually improve the look and sound of all new videos and series, including development of story lines, formats, casting, graphics and edit
• Ensure videos / series in production stay on track and on schedule
• Once series are launched, monitor video analytics for trends that inform future production
• Help manage relationships and potential video partnerships with external talent, agencies representing talent, and companies supplying video production services
• Work with media platform technology teams to monitor video quality on the site
• Oversee media management, archiving, and organizing video assets
• Help manage the purchase of new equipment as needed
• Help manage studio space
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years telling high-quality, visually engaging stories through the production, shooting, and editing of digital video
• Demonstrated expertise producing video of all formats, including 5-minute-plus episodic series; 1-3 minute short-form originals; :30-1 minute videos for social channels; FB Live
• Experience conceptualizing scripted and unscripted content; sourcing and booking talent and locations; directing talent; handling shooting, lighting and sound
• Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Premiere, Prelude, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator, Final Cut Pro 7, Compressor, Soundtrack and Motion
• Demonstrated expertise in DSLR videography (Sony FS7, Canon 7D, 5D Mk II, etc.) and audio equipment; experience shooting VR helpful
• Consistent drive to keep current with evolving video technology and trends
• Background working with A-list celebrities helpful
• Enjoy a deadline-driven work environment
• Strong organizational skills and confidence to oversee editorial video projects from conception to completion; strong collaboration skills
• Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Fluency in Social Media and strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Experience with content management systems (Wordpress, Blogger, Moveable Type, Blogsmith) helpful
• BA/BS degree, Film School is a plus
