The Opportunity
Levity Entertainment Group, an independent production company is seeking an experienced Development Producer for Development. LEG produces and develops hundreds of hours of scripted and unscripted content each year for a multitude of platforms, including network and basic cable broadcasters, SVOD and OTT, Pay Television, and PPV.
Responsibilities
• Works closely with the Chief Content Officer team to ensure the vision of development is being realized through quality production.
• Generates and brainstorms new ideas for live and digital content.
• Owns the writing and production for run throughs, shoots and edit sizzles.
• Prepares project plans and timelines for new developments.
• Coordinates with production teams, review episodic materials, and give notes throughout all phases of development.
• Develops the material for new show ideas, participating in show pitches and the production of pilots.
• Works closely with Production Executives to judge and vet pilots under consideration.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years in Development with Producing experience required.
• Previous experience working on comedy and game shows with studio backgrounds is a plus.
• Energetic personality that compels others into action; uses influence and relationships to accelerate performance.
• Polished, professional, friendly; can multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced, high-pressure deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of the television production process.
• Effective communication and collaboration within a matrix environment, uses influence to help drive shared success.
• Proven track record of innovation and creativity leading to extraordinary performance results.
