Commercial & Theatrical Intern

You will learn all aspects of the Management and Talent Agency Industry with a manager that has been in the Industry for 25 years. We work with adults and children. We have flexible hours between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
DUTIES: Interns will be assisting in all aspects of the office routine, including submissions directly to agents and casting directors , submissions on all of the websites ( LA Casting, Breakdowns, Casting Frontier), answering phones, scheduling auditions and coordinating schedules. You will be talking directly to Agents and Casting Directors in order to organize the talents day. Again, you will learn both the Commercial and Theatrical side of the business, working with client lists and files, scheduling, organizing, and calling talent, agents, and casting directors with auditions and confirmations. You will be given specific tasks and projects depending on your ability. You will be setting in on New Talent and New Employee Interviews. You will be learning about all of the on line services, like Actors Access, Casting Network, and Casting Frontier that the professionals get. You will learn what to submit on an what not to submit on and why not, the rules concerning children and their employment in the State of California, what to look for when seeking new talent, what pictures work and what don't work, what Agents and Managers have to deal with when working with their talent and what you as a talent should do and not do in order to keep your Agent and Manager working 200 % for you. You will learn as much as you want to learn. It is up to you as to how much you get out of the internship. We love our interns asking questions and wanting to do more and more. We will help you as much as we can ,if you show us you want to learn. Our Interns do the Internship for College Credit or to just learn about the Industry. Our Interns have gone on to be Agents, Casting Directors, and Managers.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Good phone etiquette, computer literate, organizational skills, detail-oriented, and you must be able to multitask. DURATION: We require you to work for 12 hrs a week for 6 months or 20 hrs a week for 3 months. The goal is to learn while getting things done. The dress code is business casual
