Job Title: Promotion Producer
Department: Creative Services
Job Summary: The Promotions Producer is responsible for developing and executing marketing assets that fit strategies of station brands and achieve the promotion objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates concepts, writes scripts, produces and edits video and composites projects to promote station brands, local news programs, sales projects, station giveaways and events with tight deadlines.
Suggests promotions strategies to enhance station competitiveness.
Produces promotional assets for broadcast, social media, print and digital platforms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The Promotions Producer must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. The Promotions Producer position is a weekday, daytime position but some station events will require an ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. Experience: Minimum 5 years as promotion producer or related experience. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Final Cut and Adobe Production Suite (Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop) Proficiency with Mac OS and Windows. All aspects of television production, including motion graphics and non-linear editing. Basic color correction, digital file formats, knowledge of codec's and aspect ratios. Must possess an impressive portfolio and be highly creative with video and graphic motion. Attention to detail with strong ability to conceptualize and create brand awareness through cutting edge television. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Experience guiding, directing and motivating co-workers on assigned projects. Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
