Position Summary:
IM Global is one of the leading film financing, sales and distribution companies in the world. We are a fast paced and growing company with a collaborative and exciting culture. IM Global is currently looking for an experienced GL Accountant to join the Finance Department in Los Angeles.
This position will report to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for the general accounting of the Company and the accounts payable process.
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documents for the monthly and quarterly close
• Reconcile and record all cash activity, prepare bank reconciliations and assist in forecasting cash expenditures and receipts
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve unreconciled items
• Own and manage the accounts payable process from entering invoices, paying bills, tackling vendor inquiries and maintaining accurate records
• Act as the point person for all companywide travel & entertainment processing through Concur
• Assist with annual audits and tax reporting requirements
• Perform ad-hoc projects as needed
Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Accounts payable experience preferred
• Experience with Concur and QuickBooks a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting processes
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent communication across all levels and departments within company
Other Abilities:
• Must have strong competency in working with systems and applications; must have aptitude to quickly learn new technologies
• Detail oriented and focused on meeting deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communications required
• Must be able to manage time, projects and work autonomously
