HITRECORD is looking for a highly organized, intuitive and responsible individual to serve as an intern in its Community Department. The Community Intern program at HITRECORD is designed for individuals living in Los Angeles who are available full-time with interest and experience in art, communication, marketing, social media, and entertainment production. The Community Intern will work closely with HITRECORD's Community Director and Community Coordinator.
Duties will include:
-Daily site organization and curation, including coordination with community members
-Being an active member of the HitRECord community and participating in artistic projects
-Preparing and releasing creative copy and digital assets to accompany videos for daily distribution
-Updating and tracking results of site collaborations as well as maintaining ongoing projects on the site
-Assisting in the scheduling, preparation, and release of social media messaging
-Gathering information for video resourcing, clearance, crediting, etc.
-Assisting with Community Coordinator's daily schedule and to-do list
-Working with the Office Manager to assist in various office management duties
-Researching to identify pressure points within day-to-day operations (Cont. on Next Page)
Basic Qualifications:
-Available for a full-time position, and currently living in the greater Los Angeles area
-Passion for the creative arts, communication, and the use of social media as a tool for connectivity
-Ability to maintain multiple projects, at different phases in their life cycle, moving forward through their completion
-Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of time management and organization
-Experience with creative content development and production
-Strong interest in writing as well as communicating directly with artists from all over the world to achieve community objectives and answer daily questions
-Ability to compile and analyze data for creative projects as well as social media campaigns
-Mac-savvy, and proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Power Point, Google Docs, and Calendar
-Expertise of social media platforms including FaceBook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Vine, and more
Preferred Qualifications:
-A completed undergraduate degree in marketing, communication, digital design, or a similar field
-Prior internships or production assistance work in the entertainment field
-Experience interacting with community members of a website or similar environment
-Excellent understanding of the developing trends in social media and content distribution
