Description:
This role will support the Development Team at History, primarily the internal development functions within the team. Primary functions are heavy internet, print and television/film research, identifying and reporting on current trends in male programming and pop culture, and identifying and vetting potential talent. This role will also be responsible for conducting Skype interviews, potentially going on scouts, and research phone calls with journalists, experts and bloggers. Will pitch ideas, concepts and potential talent to executive producers and senior staff on a regular basis.
Requirements:
The role requires a motivated, organized and focused individual with a passion for male programming, a clear understanding of the History Channel brand and slate, along with an exceptional knowledge of internet and social media search functions/resources. An ideal candidate will have a background in development and casting, with solid research and pitching experience. Interviewing and video editing experience a plus.
