Globalgate Entertainment, a Lionsgate portfolio company, is aligned with a consortium of distributors including Televisa, Gaumont, Tobis, Nordisk, Kadokawa, Lotte, Belga, TME, Paris Filmes and CineColombia, capitalizing on the worldwide growth of local-language films. Globalgate sources and curates remakes and original intellectual property and co-finances mainstream, wide-release local-language films in key international territories.
Summary of Position:
Globalgate is currently seeking a Creative Executive. The position encompasses tracking and covering available material worldwide.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reading scripts and screening English and non-English language films for production/remake consideration in the US and as local-language films in international territories
- Participate with Company executives and staff in regular meetings/communication with international producers and distributors as well as screenings, creative, finance and production meetings
- Assist with light office responsibilities.
Experience & Skills:
- Candidate must have prior experience in entertainment, preferably at an agency, studio, management company, production company or distribution company.
- Must be diligent, punctual, proactive, strong in writing coverage and pitching material and extremely detail-oriented with maintaining script and other material availability and film performance tracking charts.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required
- Chinese language skill strongly preferred, additional language skills are a plus.
- International travel is likely, as is significant growth within the Company.
