Full Time Job
Responsibilities include:
- Develop annual sales budgets for Pac Rim and Asia
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales budgets
- Manage the negotiation and closing of deals with broadcasters and digital platforms
- Increase sales of programming across Pac Rim and Asia
- Ensure Company is achieving the best commercial terms for its programming
- Develop strategies to grow business
- Serve to establish and enhance relationships with clients for Company's benefit
- Follow up with clients and coordinate solutions to contract/distribution issues
- Coordinate with Sales support, Finance, Distribution and Marketing in conceiving, developing and implementing product packaging strategies
- Monitor the marketplace for changes and trends that affect sales activities
- Utilize research effectively
- Provide creative and marketing input
- Attend pertinent industry functions
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced sales executive with an outstanding track record in international distribution with strong expertise in non scripted and scripted content. In addition, the candidate must be an expert deal maker who can drive linear and non-linear sales directly in key markets. The position requires the ability to work cross-culturally, adapt to local market conditions and establish positive relationships across the region. 6-10 years sales experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Ability to handle high volume of sales
- Working knowledge of the television and digital business in Pac Rim and Asia
- Knowledge of multiple languages a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be an effective presenter
- Expertise in digital sales
OTHER ABILITIES
- Must be willing and able to travel internationally
- Must be well known in the industry
- Must be a confident individual who is a quick learner and self-starter
- Very strong planning, organizational, time management skills required; must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and management required
- Must promote communication across the business, engage others, articulate reasons for decisions, and be open to the opinions of others
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be a team player; must be able to adapt and lead in a team environment
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must quickly learn Company's catalogue and stay abreast of projects in development/production
