Full Time Unpaid Internship

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
As the Publicity department of one of the largest suppliers of primetime programming to the broadcast networks, we handle all publicity and media relations for current Twentieth Century Fox TV shows, including American Crime Story, Modern Family, New Girl, American Horror Story, Last Man on Earth, The Simpsons, and Family Guy, to name a few.
This includes coordinating news breaks with multiple media outlets; arranging on-air appearances for all talent; planning and executing special events, premieres, and parties pertaining to our shows; assisting in award campaigns; and servicing all media requests.
Internship Description:
• Help assemble the daily news clip packet.
• Record and maintain database of late-night and daytime talent appearances.
• Organize publications, news breaks, DVDs, swag closet, posters, and other resources.
Create Talent Contact Sheets.
• Maintain TCFTV show library and corresponding reference guide.
• Meet and network with various key industry persons (assistants, executives, talent, etc.)
• Assist with various planning and execution of special events as-needed.
• Assist with additional projects as they arise.
Learning Objectives:
• Gain an understanding of publicity and media relations within a studio setting.
• Learn the ins and outs of working within a major studio in the television industry, as well as the entertainment industry as a whole.
Qualifications:
• Interest in the entertainment industry, specifically in television.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Internet research
• Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and professional.
• Love of television is an ABSOLUTE MUST. You will be watching a lot of it!
• Candidates should have great attention to detail and be willing to learn.
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
