Digital Media: Studio and Original Programming
The Digital Media: Studio and Original Programming department is a unit of the larger Digital Media group here at Fox Sports. This team specifically caters to two core pillars of content at Fox Sports: studio programming and original programming. They consistently develop content for both digital and social distribution based around these two properties. Additionally, they work closely with Talent to ensure best practices are in place when interacting with the 2nd screen. It is crucial our brands are consistent and accurate and most importantly engaging.
Job Description
The Digital Media department is looking for an intern to assist in the day to day planning and development of social and digital media content for Fox Sports 1's Studio Programming; The Herd, Speak For Yourself, Undisputed, and First Things First. This individual will participate in creative discussions to generate daily original content elements focused on strong opinions and big topics. He/she will assist with statistical research when improving tactics and modifying practices as we gather feedback.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn how to create highly engaging original digital content from linear video or from scratch
• Learn the workflow of a show team and work with Social Producers of all live shows
• Develop an understanding of what is necessary to increase relevance via social media for both shows and talent
Qualifications:
• Adobe Photoshop and Premiere proficient – there will be a lot of Photoshopping and video editing
• Social media savvy – Facebook/ Twitter/ Instagram/ Snapchat
• Great verbal and written communication is crucial
*Applicant will be required to send in examples of content, website URL or reel and must undergo a basic writing/posting test
• Quick learner
• Multi-tasker
• Coachable
• Positive attitude and willingness to work both with a team and individually
• Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships is required
• Microsoft Office proficient
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
