Director of Production, Audience Engagement
Job Description:
The Director of Production within the Audience Engagement team plans, coordinates and supervises creative, production, post-production, and content delivery across all digital platforms. This is a strategic, creative, and operational role overseeing community engagement strategy, creative development, production and marketing for the FBE brand. Develops innovative processes and strategy to accelerate channel growth and brand visibility. Creates and implements clear editorial vision and perspective on the distribution and syndication of mobile, video, and emerging platform strategies. Develops new initiatives and programs to reach and engage audience, communities and influencers. Reports to VP of Audience Engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
Tasked with strategizing and growing community engagement and viewership across all branded digital social platforms.
Manages and oversees day-to-day schedules and priorities of an eight (8) person Engagement team comprised of producers, editors and talent. Handles & approves time off requests, holiday scheduling, performance reviews, interviews & staff training needs.
Oversee daily content strategy for assigned series and network pages of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Musical.ly, etc.
Assist with content creation and appear as on-screen talent in content as needed.
Execute marketing and promotional plans for FBE's owned and operated digital products, live events, new engagement shows and merchandise.
Responsible for content and creative feedback for the daily social video stories, vlogs, features, and posts representing the company.
Strategize and execute organic growth across all social media platforms.
Coordinate applicable brand deals with Business Development and Engagement teams.
Monitor trends in digital content consumption and performance through analytics.
Develop and test new programming initiatives and methods for driving engagement, views, likes, followers and subscribers based on available analytics.
Manages and allocates department budget and resources as needed.
Requirements:
Passion for the future of entertainment, specifically with how creators can better connect and engage with their audiences.
5+ years of hands-on producing/senior project management experience.
Experience managing and leading a creative team across multiple production disciplines.
Familiarity with and ability to operate cameras, lighting, and production equipment.
Advanced knowledge on all social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly, Snapchat etc.) and their available analytics.
Experience managing brand messaging and positioning for a global audience.
Heavy interest/awareness of YouTube and internet culture, memes, vernacular, etc.
Strong knowledge of storytelling and basic narrative structure.
Advanced knowledge of Google Docs, Spreadsheets and Google Calendar.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere a plus.
