Distribution Manager
Reports to: Director, Distribution
Job Location: Los Angeles
The Distribution Manager, based in Los Angeles, is responsible for executing targeted distribution plans for assigned affiliate circuits for Fathom Events. The DM will act as sales person, exhibitor relations liaison, and otherwise primary point of contact to assigned affiliate(s). The DM is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of theater operations data including theatre attributes, theatre updates, and technology tracking, as it pertains to the assigned affiliates; as well as any pre or post event analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Suggesting and adding to the overall strategy of distribution plans for all events/films within assigned territory.
- Executing, and converting planned theaters to confirmed theaters, within timely manner.
- Maintaining a relationship with pertinent film buyers and alternative content programmers at assigned affiliates.
-Assist in overall analysis as needed
- Owns data base of theater information in Booking System, including theatre remodels, closures and reseating numbers within assigned affiliates/circuits.
-Assist Director, Distribution with new theatre onboarding and Training initiatives.
-Prepares weekly status report documenting all account activity, including post event analysis
-All other duties as identified by the distribution team.
-Data analysis to identify key-theatres and theater issues, monthly and year over.
-Field new partner inquiries including pricing, technology, and availability.
-Secure new in-theater marketing initiatives with assigned affiliates
-All other duties as identified by the distribution team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Sales/Client Management preferably in Studio, Distribution, or Exhibition
Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, flexible, detail oriented
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
People-oriented, strong collaborator and team player
Able to handle multiple tasks and assignments
Resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
Passion for film, event cinema and entertainment
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Strong experience with Rentrak (CommScore), IMDB, etc.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with emerging digital media platforms and technology
Ability to work within a cross-functional team, building strong relationships across a sales/distribution organization
Entrepreneurial, creative, ''out of the box'' thinker comfortable in a flexible, fast moving environment
Demonstrated strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
