Job Purpose:
Endemol Shine North America is looking for a Procurement Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Procurement Operations, the Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all procurement efforts for the Company.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to ensure new purchasing policies are put into place throughout the organization. The Coordinator will support in the research, acquisition, and implementation of new centralized purchasing system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience of the procurement process within the entertainment industry. This includes knowledge of production, post-production and related equipment, commodities and services.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Production, Post-Production, IT, Corporate and Facilities department to ensure all purchase requests are procured and delivered in a timely manner.
• Maintains superior level of accuracy while creating and verifying purchase order information including proper back-up documentation (bids, tax forms, etc.)
• Ability to match industry vendors accurately with commodity/services as requested by internal clients.
• Monitors vendor performance including on time delivery and conformance of material with specifications.
• Troubleshoots and manages internal client relationships to ensure best-in-class service.
• Handles multiple projects simultaneously and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
• Identifies procurement risks, creates solutions and implements change.
• Identifies conflicts, revises discrepancies and updates purchase order information as needed to expedite client requests.
• Maintains supplier database, price lists and rate cards.
Skills &
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience procuring for production, post-production within entertainment industry
• Advanced skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills
• A clear sense of urgency, and ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written with professional phone manner
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
• Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, resourceful and flexible
• Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively with other executives, talent, talent reps, assistants and staff at all levels
• Team player with positive/easy-going manner to handle varied personalities, responsibilities and assignments
• Excellent negotiation skills, critical thinking, great judgment and decision-making skills.
• Previous experience procuring for production, post-production and IT a plus
• Proficient in database creation and file management
• Knowledge of competitive bidding statutes and purchasing procedures
