ABC Television is known for outstanding content across linear, digital, and social platforms including Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family and The Bachelor. The ABC Ad Sales Research team provides consumer insights and marketplace learnings to help the ad sales team drive revenue and partner with advertising/agency clients. Key areas include digital performance insights and delivering consumer and advertising expertise across ABC as well as the overall Disney ABC Television Group.
Responsibilities
A day in the life…
As the ABC Ad Sales Research Intern, you will be responsible for creating a variety of reports and insights used by the research and sales teams, including ad hoc sales requests, quarterly category one-sheets and monthly demographic reports. You will also have the opportunity to participate in research team meetings, sales meetings and various presentations to internal clients. This role will primarily support the digital team.
• Creating reports and competitive sales highlights
• Updating sales materials with latest data and consumer insights (including demo rankers and category
snapshots)
• Delivering learnings from competitive networks/sites
• Responding directly to ad-hoc sales requests using syndicated reporting tools
• Maintaining ad-hoc request tracking document
Basic Qualifications
What you bring to the role…
• Highly analytical, detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills, ability to tell a story with numbers
• Passion about the entertainment industry and television programming
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote
As well as...
• All candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
• All candidates must be available from January to April/May
• All candidates must be willing to work at least 3 full days/week (24 hours)
• All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiar with ABC programming
• Major in communications, media studies, statistics, or other relevant major
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
