Eyewitness News seeks a creative, proactive content producer to help lead our digital and social media news efforts in the morning. This producer must thrive in a high-energy, non-stop news environment and be willing to rise before the sun to get our news day off to a strong start, leading on breaking news and working at the heart of the action with our morning news team.
Some of the specific duties include helping to manage abc7ny.com, sending breaking news alerts, writing news stories, creating original videos, managing live coverage, optimizing content for more reach and impact, and helping to manage our social media presence and engage our audience.
The producer in this position must have experience working in a newsroom, strong news judgment, excellent communication skills and be very knowledgeable in best practices for digital and social media. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver consistently strong content across all digital and social platforms to ensure Eyewitness News always goes above and beyond to be New York's No. 1 news.
