Full Time Job
Disney ABC Television Group is seeking a Casting Assistant to support the VP, of ABC Entertainment Casting.
Responsibilities
• Provides administrative support for the office of the VP of Casting.
• Manage all scheduling and calendar as needed
• Manage scheduling and travel for talent during pilot season
• Schedules all department meetings
• Coordination with various other departments including offices of the presidents
• Hiring and training of office temps and interns
• Develops and maintains databases, distribution lists, mailing lists and filing systems
• Handles travel arrangements, reservations, etc. on behalf of Casting Department executives
• Maintains standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
• Ability to work well with executives, staff members, talent, and visitors
• Maintain calendar, phones and travel arrangements
• Submit expense reports and purchasing requests for supplies
• Organize files, contracts and legal documentation
• Prepare presentations for internal/external meetings
• Handle client contact list and correspondence with clients
Basic Qualifications
• One or more years supporting an executive in an administrative capacity in Casting, Agency or a Network/Studio
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate overtime as needed
• Experience building and maintaining filing systems and organizing and maintaining large amounts of data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette
• Ability to assume responsibility, function effectively in team environment or independently, with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
• Demonstrated proactive problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to function in a demanding environment with competing and changing priorities
• Ability to recognize a need and take ownership of its completion
• Ability to work as a team player within the department and assist other executives and assistants when needed
• Demonstrated interest in casting
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge and mastery of SAP and it's various functions ranging from eSource to expense reports
• Familiarity with IMDB, Studio System, ESN, VPO, DAX, Cast-It Systems are preferable
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
