Full Time Unpaid Internship

What you need to know:
• This spring, our 12 week semester will be held from January 29th-April 20th 2018.
• Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide documentation if necessary.
• The application deadline is November 17th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
• We do not require a cover letter. Please demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume.
Interviewing will take place from October through December. A Discovery Intern team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
Responsibilities
Discovery Consumer Products Licensing is the business unit of Discovery Global Enterprises that brings our network brands and show properties to life on through innovative and engaging physical products across more than 100 product categories, from toys and books, to pet products, apparel, sporting goods and more. We are the team that comes up with the ideas for products and partnership programs and works with our third-party vendors to bring them to retailers and consumers across the country.
As a Licensing Intern your adventure could lead you to work on projects and tasks such as:
• Work alongside our licensing sales team and learn firsthand about the lifecycle of a consumer products deal from pitch to contract execution, and product development to retail rollout.
• Learn how to use the latest in sales and product development software
• Work on special projects as determined by the VP of Licensing.
Requirements
* Must be currently enrolled as a full time student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
* Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
* Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
