The Role
The Production Coordinator will assist in all marketing production aspects for Discovery Channel’s initiatives, with the overall goal of increasing viewership, generating revenue and reinforcing brand presence. This role will support the team with media management and footage requests, budget accruals and management, vendor contracts managements, NDA requests and shoot production logistics.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with all aspects of production, post production creative and promotional development for Discovery Channel to build audience viewership and reinforce core brand attributes.
2. Support the delivery of promotional assets with scheduling and other departments.
3. Support the Production Manager with production processes to accommodate creative strategies (incorporating relevant program production/program development insights) and development timelines, working closely with the on-air producer counterpart and media strategy/promotion group, supervisor and senior management.
4. Collaborate with key internal network divisions and business units to ensure consistency of key communicated messages.
5. Assist with the management of budget accruals and all vendor contracts.
6. Help coordinate the production shoot logistics for our entire team
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in marketing or production.
* Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience.
* Proven project management and production/ post-production experience.
* Understanding of budget management and media assets management.
* A keen analytic that also possess a creative flare.
* Ability to multi-task while prioritizing heavy workloads.
* Must be detail oriented.
* Must be a self-started who anticipates the needs of the group/ external/ internal stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work well in a team environment and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners on all aspects of creative.
* Must have legal right to work in the United States
