The Department: Digital Cinema Production Systems
The Deluxe Digital Cinema productions systems group supports applications and infrastructure that enable Deluxe's rapidly growing, world-wide digital cinema business. These applications play a key role in supporting our major cinema studio clients and have
a profound impact on our business growth.
Systems Engineering Duties
• Build and maintain Mastering, I/O, Storage, Networking, and Playback systems
• Install and configure servers, operating systems, and applications
• Provide triage, technical troubleshooting, escalation, and follow-up on support issues
• Provide recommendations for system, application, and process changes
• Research, evaluate, and manage deployment of new systems and applications
• Provide subject matter expertise for internal company systems and applications
• Technically document all research, testing, setup/configuration and end user training
• Participate in regular on-call support rotation
• Work with operations, application support, quality assurance, and development groups
Required Knowledge and Experience
• 4 Years System Engineering, System Administration, or equivalent
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Knowledge of IP Networking and Protocols
• Knowledge of Active Directory management
• Technical documentation and training
Desired Knowledge and Experience
• Knowledge of Storage technologies, file systems, and protocols
o StorNext SAN, NAS, LTO, Object storage
o EXT, NTFS, LTFS
o SMB, CIFS, NFS, S3
• Knowledge of Digital Cinema Package Structure
• Knowledge of virtualized and/or cloud computing
• Knowledge of LDAP
• Experience in shell scripting
