We currently have an opening for a Facilities Engineer. This position will be based in Burbank, CA but will also have responsibility to provide assistance and support to other sites in the greater Los Angeles area.
SUMMARY:
The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for assisting Facilities Management in maintaining the function and appearance of Deluxe facilities. They will promptly respond to service calls and troubleshoot any operational issues on the properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs maintenance and repairs on a variety of HVAC systems.
• Performs maintenance and repairs in the areas of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
• Assists or performs inspections of all buildings systems and equipment.
• Responsible for assisting with or performing routine preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational performance and safety.
• Contributes to maintaining property appearance,
• Responsible for completion and documentation of work orders assigned by Facilities Coordinators and management.
• Participates in safety/emergency training programs provided by management.
• Assists with Project Management relating to any renovations, new construction and other special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems and concepts.
• Possess knowledge to safely and effectively use building maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to the facility management team.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift/pull minimum of 50 lbs.
EDUCATION/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA Certification.
• Ability to read MEP. blueprints, general operational manuals and safety documents.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to requests and questions from tenants, managers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
