Full Time Job
We currently have an opening for a Video Encoding Operator in Northvale, New Jersey. This is a 2nd shift position, Sunday-Thursday. Hours M-F, 4:30pm-1am.
Primary Responsibilities
• Operation of Video/Audio encoding hardware and software. Insert/Assembly Editing; viewing and quality control of encoded clips. Entering and verifying of video metadata.
• Ensure work assignments, their status and disposition are timely and accurately recorded in operations systems.
• Engage in on-going training programs as necessary.
• Must effectively analyze and communicate information in order to resolve issues and concerns as they arise.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Final Cut Pro is required. Applicants will be required to pass a Final Cut proficiency test. Familiarity with video tape formats, video file types and container formats.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of aspect ratios and frame rates used in HD and SD environments.
• Experience with Windows, and Mac environments.
• Must demonstrate writing and verbal skills commensurate with a professional office environment.
• Complete additional duties as required.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years experience in audio and/or video post-production environment.
• A beginning-intermediate understanding of Final Cut Pro is required.
• Familiarity with video tape formats, video file types, and container formats.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of aspect ratios and frame rates used in HD and SD environments.
• Experience with Windows and Mac environments.
• Individual must be organized, diligent and detail-oriented.
• Individual must possess solid verbal and written communication skills.
• B.S. degree in computer science or programming, electronics or A/V technology related field (or equivalent experience).
• Individual must possess a fundamental understanding of digital audio and digital video signals, standards, machines and wiring.
• Strong computer skills are required (file systems and ftp).
• Position is audibly and visually demanding as a significant amount of the job responsibilities include intensive testing for minor audio and video impairments and artifacts.
