Boutique PR Firm specializing in Personal PR, Events, and Lifestyle is looking for a capable, assistant with experience for the partner of the company.
This person would be responsible for helping manage busy schedules, calendars, roll calls, answer phones, coordinate interviews with clients, do new business research and proposals, write press releases and media alerts, provide red carpet support, work to place clients in the press as well as keep press kits current and update media lists. This person would have at least six months of entertainment publicity experience in film or television at an agency and is knowledgeable about reading the trades and the magazines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Need a self-starter who is calm under pressure, understands the dynamics of a position like this and is excited to continue their career! This is a high growth position and first in line to be promoted.
We are looking for someone who can come in, hit the ground running with little start-up, is smart, ambitious, has a PR or communications degree.
We need:
- Expertise of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Expertise in Calendar Management
- Great Writer - creative, good with adjectives and adverbs - creatively describes things with passion
- A Self Starter
- Someone who does not mind working in a small office with some terrific people and doing whatever it takes to get the job done
- Knows IMDBPRO, Cision, Fashion Monitor, Celebrity Intelligence etc
- Loves Television and Movies
- Understands complicated travel itineraries and can help with schedules for photoshoots and interviews.
- Can help track Google Alerts and do media monitoring
This is a trainable position if the right person comes in with the right skills.
