Full Time Job
The Public Relations Coordinator is a skilled full-time employee responsible for supporting the public relations team on all projects and events related to public relations, communications, influencer engagement and community outreach under the supervision of the Director, PR and Manager, PR. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be able to adapt to multiple assignments and deadlines as well as a frequently-changing environment. Candidate must be a self-starter, able to multi- task several moving parts and prioritize multiple running projects. Must be an excellent writer, and possess strong leadership and service skills. Experience with lifestyle, entertainment, fashion, retail, food & beverage and corporate communications. Additionally, position will be responsible for various PR administration duties and general PR-related tasks across the portfolio.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Manage all lists and contact information for media, influencers and bloggers.
Research and seek new partners and event ideas ranging from media partners to influencers and bloggers.
Provide onsite assistance and coordination for press and filmings across the portfolio, including any food / beverage / tenant / parking / security / music - related needs.
Create media alerts and calendar listings for PR-related events, as necessary.
Assist with PR-related event coordination and execution including the development of event concept; creative requests for event promotional artwork; vendor, third-party partner and tenant participation; pre-event logistics, including but not limited to the collection and management of RSVPs, creation of gift bags or other event items, assist with creation of event plans and placing of work orders, attendance at walkthroughs, communication with property teams (housekeeping, security, engineering, parking and concierge) when appropriate, and more; day-of event logistics, including assisting with the set-up and breakdown of events; and assistance with the creation of event recap.
Assist team with fashion, retail, food & beverage and lifestyle-related PR campaigns for Caruso Affiliated tenants across the portfolio.
Recap all PR events, in template, within one week of completing the event.
Assist with monthly PR calendar, to include organizing, collecting, and compiling a monthly calendar of events with all PR-related events and activities.
Manage, submit, and process all PR-related invoices and assist the team with management of the yearly budget reconciliation.
Ensure all PR events and promotions are fed to appropriate digital channels in a timely and efficient manner.
Clip daily news coverage and prepare for distribution as needed; update and manage the Newsroom on Caruso.com.
Service and archive press coverage.
Create weekly press reports.
Create weekly PR recaps for EVP Communications
Assist as needed with additional PR tasks.
Night and weekend work required, when deemed appropriate, or events as scheduled.
Administrative duties:
Support Director (s) of PR by fielding department phone calls, taking messages, and appropriate phone communication.
Support Director(s) of PR by generating expenses reports.
Support Director(s) of PR with miscellaneous administrative tasks to accomplish seamless workflow of department.
Qualifications required:
1+ year experience at a PR agency preferred
Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
Previous internship experience.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Internet savvy.
Awareness of marketing and PR trends.
Knowledgeable about the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food and beverage, and retail industries.
Awareness of our retail tenant brands, marketing, etc.
Ability to work well with others and have a team attitude.
Willingness to work during non-office hours and weekends.
Willingness to get ''down and dirty'' in event situations.
Ability to think out of the box.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar.
