Hippie New Year! Event Planning Internship
Looking for an intern who would like to learn the interworking of planning a New Years Eve Event: behind the scenes look at how to produce in event from prep to finish. Intern will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of production; great hands-on experience.
DESCRIPTION:
The Event will take place in Venice, CA and most of the internship will be on the Westside of LA (Marine del Rey). We are hiring only 1 intern for this Event, so you will get to be a part of every single step and be the right hand to the producers.
Your experince will include working with Vendors, Venue, Rental Companies, Decor, Ticketing and Running the event on the day to name a few!
Learn the power of negotiation, VIP guests custom service, Decoration strategies, budgeting tools, working and managing the staff.
It's only 1 month, but we promise you will learn a lot!!
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Outgoing personality
''Take charge'' attitude; does not need to be micro-managed and can work independently.
Able to take direction well
Thick-skinned
Good phone etiquette; not afraid to interface with various personalities
Strong communicator (ie: writing emails, responding to inquiries etc.)
Avid researcher
Multi-tasker
Creative thinker
Hard-worker; willing to go the extra mile
REQUIREMENTS:
Please do not apply unless you meet the following requirements:
Available to start immediately
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 half days each week (flexable hours)
Must be avail and willing to work the NYE during the event (till 3am)
1 Month Internship
Mandatory: MUST have a cell phone and laptop
Must be 18 years of age
Need to have a working knowledge of Excel (you will be given a short excel test).
