Primary tasks will include:
- Scanning / distribute daily press break memos
- Answering phones
- Mailing
- Assisting during press days and press events
- Covering press screenings
- Maintaining press database
- Must be able to work at least 2 full days a week
Requirements: The successful candidate for this internship will have had some schooling in the communications or film studies fields. Excellent writing ability is a key competency in this internship. Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs suite are required as is a general proficiency with computers. Candidates should be savvy with online media and social media platforms. In addition, the successful candidate should be creative, hardworking and responsible college students or recent college grads that have a strong interest in publicity, films, and film festivals.
Ideal candidates must be dedicated, detail-oriented and eager to assist the department's overall operations. This is a great position for someone with a strong desire to learn the inner-workings of a public relations firm.
