Event / Social Media Coordinator

A fast-growing animation studio and producer of award winning programming is in search of an exceptional and experienced Event / Social Media Coordinator.
We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic individual to produce internal and external events from conception through to completion. Event Coordinator responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations while keeping to the culture of the studio.
In addition to Events, this position will also include duties of a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The goal is to achieve superior customer engagement, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
Event - Job Duties
¥ Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
¥ Organize facilities and manage all event's details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc
¥ Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
¥ Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities prior to, during, and after each event.
¥ Cooperate with marketing / PR / Internal staff to promote and publicize event
¥ Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on event day
¥ Conduct pre- and post - event evaluations and report on outcomes
¥ Provide feedback and periodic reports to company owners / executives
Social Media - Job Duties
¥ Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
¥ Generate, edit, publish and share daily / weekly content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take interest
¥ Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
¥ Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information. Share that information with the company owners / executives, etc.
¥ Collaborate with other departments (PR, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Skills and Qualifications
• Organizational Skills, Time-Management, Attention to Detail, Team-Oriented, Initiative, Enthusiasm, Flexibility, Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Outgoing, Sense of Humor, Excellent at Hosting Events and Speaking in Front of Large Groups
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation & communication skills
• Strong Client-Facing Skills / Ability to Build Productive Business Relationships
• Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
• MS Office proficiency
• Team Management Experience, Event Planning Experience, Social Media Experience
Degree in Event Planning, Communications, PR, or Marketing Preferred
