What part will you play?
We are seeking an Executive Vice President, Finance (EVP, Finance) to lead the strategic growth of the company. The EVP, Finance will report directly to the President, while working very closely with our parent company's corporate finance group, and will serve on the executive leadership team. The EVP, Finance will be responsible for taking on a senior leadership role in all financial planning decision-making across the company, and will provide strategic financial input to senior management across all lines of business and their expansion. The EVP, Finance will also play a major strategic role in helping to envision, implement, and improve the accounting and financial procedures that will support the company's continued growth.
What will you be doing?
• Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, participating in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating and financial models and operational execution.
• Provide consulting on financial performance and analysis to key leaders across all lines of business (advertising, television and licensing, merchandise, direct payment, etc.).
• Oversee budgetary planning, forecasting and cost management, and work with Controller to deliver financial results across the lines of business.
• Work closely with the President and corporate finance to annually create an operating budget in mid-September each year.
• Facilitate company success through financial forecast updates, cost analysis support, and real-time interpretation of monthly financial information.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial planning and analysis including but not limited to scenario planning and financial modeling.
• Identify financial metrics and reports to help manage financial and operational elements of each business.
• Collaborate on conception and execution of new business initiatives.
• Design and prepare the Company's Board of Director presentation and participate in Board meetings.
• Help manage relationships with the parent company's auditors, tax advisors, and industry specialists in the areas of accounting, tax, banking, and legal.
• Cultivate and lead a skilled, engaged and high performing team.
What do we require from you?
• 8-10 years of senior financial and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Strong financial planning and modeling experience and the ability to effectively communicate and share complex ideas and concepts.
• Experience interacting with a Board of Directors.
• Experience in a high growth environment and/or television, media, or advertising company.
• Track record of producing strong financial results, exercising sound judgement, building and sustaining effective relationships, managing complex projects, solving problems collaboratively and achieving results.
• Experience and willingness to operate and be hands on in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing demands for time and resources.
