Summary of Position:
The new Coordinator position in Music Business & Legal Affairs requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations for the Music Business & Legal team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage cue sheet process, from collection of preliminary cue sheets for theatrical, television and SVOD productions and
acquisitions, liaising with music editors and composers, setting up cue sheet screenings, and making revisions to ensure accuracy
and compliance, through timely submission to Performing Rights Societies and management of PRO relationships
• Deliver music assets and related documents to our partners, including publishing administrators and soundtrack labels
• Maintain music rights and contract databases
• Analyze contracts to determine our music rights, and advise supervisors and internal executives
• Phone coverage, data entry and filing, obtain signatures and distribute agreements internally and externally, expense reports,
maintain schedules, and assist the department in any day to day needs
Experience & Skills:
• Legal or paralegal background preferred
• Possess excellent computer (Microsoft Office Suite, DiaLog, Adobe Acrobat)
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working with confidential legal information
• College degree is required; JD with bar passage or Paralegal certificate preferred
