Management Agency is seeking a Booking Agent skilled at matching artists with appropriate venues and audiences where they will perform in various venues and events.
Job Description
Secure artist's performances/offers from Venues, promoters, talent buyers and corporate events in a specified territory.
Negotiating contracts, payment and other crucial information for the artists which include guarantee, percentage splits, bonus structures, merchandising rates etc.
Weekly meetings to plan and discuss tour routes for the artists we represent.
Attending industry conferences such as APAP, IEBA, Pollstar and IAFE among others.
Traveling for artists' performances and meetings as needed.
Must have sales experience and must be self-driven, a creative problem solver and organized.
Ad Hoc assignments as needed which will include creating marketing sheets and email blasts.
** Additional duties may be added depending on performance.
Requirements
Verbal and written proficiency in English a must.
Knowledge of the performing arts, popular music, and the music industry.
Must be able to travel. * Undergraduate degree required.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, Mac Mail and other custom applications and software.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Team player.
Ability to plan and prioritize work activity (in a fast-paced environment).
Must be self-sufficient, able to multi-task, and handle projects independently.
Adaptable to changes in the workplace.
Ability to interact with all levels of management.
Ability to adjust schedule and be flexible (e.g., arrive early or stay late when requested).
Ability to be present in the office
Must be a go-getter and reliable.
People person a must.
