CINNABAR CALIFORNIA is a unique, SPECIALTY FABRICATION Design/Build firm focused on MUSEUM EXHIBIT Development and Production, FINE ART, Specialty Projects, IMMERSIVE ENVIRONMENTS, and TV/Film set fabrication.
We are involved in all stages of projects all over the world with a quality and service first attitude along with a highly creative work environment.
We are currently looking for TECHNICAL DESIGNERS / CAD OPERTAORS / DRAFTSPERSONS with solid skills in AutoCAD 2D and 3D. Applicants must have Attraction, Museum, and/or Exhibit industry experience. HANDS-ON FABRICATION EXPERIENCE is preferred. Proficiency in Inventor, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhinoceros etc. is also a big plus.
Must have the ability to work well under pressure, within a team environment, along with a diverse range of personalities, as well as manage competing deadlines. Must have an understanding of museum class quality standards.
Primary responsibilities include:
Problem solving and coordinating with production staff and management.
Developing working drawings that show key features of a design
Develop clear shop drawings and be able to convey the information and work directly with fabricators at every step of production and installation.
Communicate with, and outsource to, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Develop as-builts drawings and Owner's Manuals.
Candidates must be knowledgeable of building materials and fabrication methods and be self-motivated and responsible.
