Cartel Entertainment is a small management/production company with several movies and a television series in varying phases of production. Interns will have the opportunity not only to interact with assistants, but managers, producers, and writers. The position at The Cartel is very coverage heavy, meaning students will have the opportunity to read scripts from established writers and clients, as well as potential clients, and others. They will be able to provide feedback, while learning about scripts currently in development. Interns have the opportunity to shadow assistants in order to learn what an entry level Hollywood job is like. They also assist with administrative and organizational projects as needed. Ideal candidates have strong critical reading and writing abilities and is ideal for anyone interested in development, representation, screenwriting, and/ or production.
