Full Time Paid Internship
What does our department do?
CNN Special Projects produces short-form, sponsored packages for Turner networks including CNN, HLN, and CNN.com. The main department is based in Atlanta, with a small unit in NY.
What will you be doing?
The NY Special Projects intern will be charged with primarily assisting the NY-based Producers and Associate Producer with production needs. Duties include logging interviews/b-roll, story research (via computer databases and other library resources), fact-checking and setting up shoots. In addition, the Special Projects intern may have the opportunity to assist Producers on field shoots, and write/produce packages. The Special Projects intern will also provide support for the Atlanta-based team when needed.

Candidates should be passionate about news, self-motivated, able to multitask, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in fast paced, high volume environment.

Program dates are January 22nd through April 20th.
Interns are paid at least minimum wage ($13/hour), up to 20 hours/week, and relocation is not provided.
Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Applicants should be a rising sophomore status or greater.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to starting the internship
