Responsibilities OVERVIEW
The Writer will be responsible for pitching and creating money and career-related content for young and/or aspirational readers. The ideal candidate will have strong reporting skills, as well as a knack for making complex subjects interesting and relatable. Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Packaging story copy including graphics and appropriate links to CNBC.com standards, making it compelling to CNBC.com readers
• Generating story ideas, reporting, writing, and creating digital content.
• Collaborating with the digital video team to create informative and highly engaging videos.
• Helping to build the Make It brand and cultivate an engaged audience.
• Contributing to multi-platform news coverage when needed.
• Using social media to distribute and promote content.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience as a writer and/or reporter, including the ability to perform and multi-task under pressure.
• Must be motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and possess outstanding communication and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to report and write accurately and clearly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news environment.
• Experience at large online content destination, such as a major online news site or financial newspaper.
• Passion for digital storytelling and creating the best user experience online.
• Ongoing knowledge of and interest in the business world and financial news is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
REQUIREMENTS
• A clear understanding of CNBC's editorial and programming priorities
• A flexible attitude to working different shifts occasionally when required
• Eligible to work in Singapore
• Fluency in English
• Experience of working in content management systems desirable
• Experience of working for a leading wire service or business news website desirable
• Ability to speak at least one other European language would be an advantage
