Job Summary
We are looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to manage and oversee financial functions for a boutique, LA-based entertainment media company.
The ideal candidate should have a keen attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our financial management is accurate and effective.
We are a dynamic group of personalities, so the ability to work well and effectively with others is required!
Job Responsibilities
· Manage regular accounting transactions and operations, including:
Accounts payable/receivable
Cash flow
Bank deposits
Staff payroll
Talent payments (including tracking invoices and payments due)
General ledger postings and statements
Accurately track and restore accounting or documentation discrepancies
Monitor company expenses to assist in budget preparation
Provide assistance and support to company personnel
Job Requirements
· Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant or similar role at a Talent Management Company or Talent Agency (or similar entertainment/media-based company). 1-2 years minimum.
· Proficiency in Quickbooks (online version).
· Experience with online banking.
· Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (primarily Microsoft Outlook and Excel Spreadsheets).
· Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting principles and practices.
· Experience with handling PayPal transactions.
· Excellent analytical skills, and organizational and multitasking abilities.
· High degree of accuracy and sharp attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize work.
· A problem-solver
· Customer service orientation.
· Excellent verbal and written skills (English).
