Full Time Paid Internship
CBSi Games is the #1 network of games media sites and includes some of the most popular gaming destinations in the world including GameSpot, GameFAQs, Giant Bomb, and Comic Vine.
We are looking for someone who loves digital media, marketing, games and would like nothing more than to combine all of that passion at ''work''. GameSpot.com has been the leading destination for gaming news, reviews, and entertainment since 1996.
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with the Growth and Engagement team to help develop and maintain GameSpot's presence on Facebook, Twitter, Apple News, YouTube, Snapchat and any other emerging social platforms
• Assist the Senior Marking Manager in cultivating a strong and consistent brand voice for GameSpot.com
• Understand the importance of GameSpot's email marketing programs and partner with other teams to assist with user engagement and growth (familiarity or previous experience in creating HTML and CSS code is a plus but not required)
• Use social data applications to pull insights and then create informed (data-driven) strategy across all of our social media platforms and brand marketing
• Quickly identify key growth opportunities surrounding the launches of new features of various social channels
• Identify trending social topics and work cross functionally with the video team to create ''hot takes'', memes and other timely short form content
• Represent GameSpot for breaking news coverage at the biggest events in the video game industry
• This candidate must be able to think creatively, effectively collaborate with peers, and teach best practices
Additional Requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
