Ticket Operations Manager - Boston Job Description
Location: Boston, MA
Reports To: Northeast Regional Sales Operations & Revenue Manager

Summary
We are seeking a Ticketing Manager to oversee the ticketing operations for Broadway Across America and The Charles Playhouse in Boston.
- Responsibilities
• Overall Management
o Ensure that all operational issues in the implementation of season and single events are complete and consistent with standards developed for Broadway Across America.
o Manage all aspects of ticketing and event management, season ticket holder/group sales support, service and communication for Broadway In Boston and Blue Man Group at The Charles Playhouse.
o Day-to-day operations; project coordination; operational communication; service support and reporting.
o Primary communicator for the market's Regional Executive, General Manager, Marketing Director, Group Sales Manager, Box Office Managers, Service Center, local ticketing entities, and production company personnel.
o Oversee the box office staff for Blue Man Group at The Charles Playhouse.
o Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, multitask abilities and be proficient in time management.
o Behavior is key to this position. This person must exhibit a positive attitude with consideration for others. The image they display directly impacts those that work for and with them.
- Duties
Ticketing and Event Management
o Participate in the creation of the operational timeline and manage all aspects of it.
o Participate in planning and development of all projects to be supported by the Service Center.
o Participate in the maintenance of various databases which track both guest and sales information.
o Develop and execute the event creation and maintenance on ticketing systems.
o Manage all operational systems/applications in regards to season ticket renewal and new acquisition programs, as well as continuing development for single ticket sales.
o Communicate event creation to necessary parties; thoroughly check events to assure they are created correctly on the ticketing system.
o Prepare season and single ticket events to go on sale.
o Set up, prepare, proof and provide files for printing of season ticket renewal invoices.
o Provide the processes and applications to service center for season ticket renewal and new acquisition.
o Monitor processing and fulfillment (assisting when needed) of renewals and new acquisitions, followed by sending receipt of order confirmations.
o Process upgrades/changes associated with season renewals and send out seat confirmation letters.
o Fulfillment of ticketing requirements for donors, sponsors, VIPs and promotions.
o Manage inventory during the life cycle of each event.
o Manage aspects of dynamic pricing and inventory management protocol in collaboration with Regional Executive, Regional Sales Operations Manager and New York Operations.
o Monitor sales activities, providing daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed.
o Oversee ticket printing and distribution on both season tickets and individual ticket mailings.
o Manage, and assist with when needed, the fulfillment of season benefits: additional tickets, exchanges, priority offers, etc.
o Oversee and supervise the operations, reporting and audit procedures, and staffing of the Charles Playhouse Box Office. Conduct periodical in-house audits to ensure compliance and best practices.
o Work with the box office at The Charles Playhouse to build all events in the ticketing systems for Blue Man Group and Shear Madness.
o Assist The Charles Playhouse in all aspects of reporting, be it daily, weekly, quarterly or annually, for Blue Man Group.
o Provide guidance and support for Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse in regards to pricing, scaling and inventory management. Conduct a weekly meeting with the Charles executive staff and provide pricing recommendations.
o Keep venues involved by notifying them of all shows, assigning allotments, managing the inventory for the life of event, and having consistent service policies. Whether we are renting or this is our partner, the customers will not differentiate. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience.
o All other tasks, duties and special projects that may be assigned from time to time as directed by your supervisors, including any changes or deviation from this job description.
• Communication and Service
o Work closely with Regional Executive, General Manager, Marketing Director, Group Sales Manager and Service Manager/Supervisor on each sale's campaign, which includes all activities associated with season, group and single ticket sales and promotions; material proofing; and timeline development.
o Work closely with general management, Marketing Director, Performance Manager, Service Center and local ticketing entity to ensure Broadway Across America standards are met and offer support and training to fulfill those standards.
o Conduct a weekly meeting to communicate with the management and supervisory staff of the market's Service Center all information for onsales and promotions, processing instructions, production information, special needs, etc., and provide any additional training that may be required.
o Maintain and Monitor information on BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com and follow through on inconsistencies of market information.
o Support service initiatives by maintaining all e-mail communication received from customers via BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com on a daily basis.
o Participate in person as an ambassador for Broadway Across America at show engagements, subscriber special events, promotional events and other occasions as assigned by Regional Executive or Regional Sales Operations Manager.
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years in the ticketing, arts and/or entertainment industries.
• Advanced knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics and Ticketmaster Host systems preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
